Tanay, Rizal: Daranak Falls, Mt. Daraitan, Tinipak River Travel Guide

Though Daranak Falls is commonly known as a side trip for Mt. Sembrano among hikers, we managed to squeeze our 2day trip to visit the place before the hike.

As seen from the "Rockies 2" of Mt. Daraitan
The highlight of the trip, of course, was scaling Mt. Daraitan. Direct assault to summit in which most part of the trek consists of 60-80 degree climb. Reaching the summit, you will be rewarded with the views of some part of Sierra Madre mountain range, the Polillo Strait and the province of Rizal.

Sea of clouds in the Sierra Madre mountain range

The summit can only accommodate 2-3 tents; fortunately, we were able to set up our camp at the summit itself. Waking up at the crack of the dawn, you will be amazed with the magnificent view of the sea of clouds! Even more breathtaking during sun rise.

Tinipak River, Daranak Falls, Mt. Daraitan Summit

At the last part of our trip, we traversed the mountain leading us in the Tinipak River. It is awarded as the cleanest inland body of water in Region IV.
