Roadtripping Western Part of Cavite

Image
Unbeknownst to many, this province offers more than being just a few kilometers off country's capital; hence, the vast expansion of different real estates, more than its weekend dayhikes of its mountain range, more than the beach popularly known as 'Boracay de Cavite', the classic must-see historical sites, or the most popular Tagaytay City. Below are the photos from random roadtripping  taken at its not so known towns, one of which is where the blogger currently resides.  At the western part of this province lies the sleepy towns (yet to be reached by the modernization of who knows when, hopefully not so soon) of Naic, Indang, Alfonso, Magallanes, Maragondon to which the blogger has set foot on last Februay 2015, a looped route shown below.  Roadtripping this (approximately mapped out) route - first part Cavite State University - Main Campus, Indang Lone road and its lush surroundings, Indang - Alfonso Road A closer look Stopove...

Mt. Maculot Cuenca, Batangas Travel Guide (from Cavite)

Image
Mt. Maculot is one of the ideal mountains to hike for the beginners despite the now required guideship fees. Not only it is just hours away from Manila, it also offers one of the most spectacular views after an hour or two of continuous assault. As you go higher, you will be rewarded by the view of Taal Lake, not your usual view when passing by the infamous Tagaytay City. The main reason why hikers prefer to hike only up to the rockies is because of its one of the most picturesque view of Taal Lake. That alone already makes your hiking adventure worthwhile. Mt. Tanay, Rizal: Daranak Falls, Mt. Daraitan, Tinipak River Travel Guide

Image
Though Daranak Falls is commonly known as a side trip for Mt. Sembrano among hikers, we managed to squeeze our 2day trip to visit the place before the hike. As seen from the "Rockies 2" of Mt. Daraitan   The highlight of the trip, of course, was scaling Mt. Daraitan. Direct assault to summit in which most part of the trek consists of 60-80 degree climb. Reaching the summit, you will be rewarded with the views of some part of Sierra Madre mountain range, the Polillo Strait and the province of Rizal.  Sea of clouds in the Sierra Madre mountain range The summit can only accommodate 2-3 tents; fortunately, we were able to set up our camp at the summit itself. Waking up at the crack of the dawn, you will be amazed with the magnificent view of the sea of clouds! Even more breathtaking during sun rise. Tinipak River, Daranak Falls, Mt. Daraitan Summit At the last part of our trip, we traversed the mountain leading us in the Tinipak River. It is ...
